DEHN Engineering Services

Safe yourself time, money and resources.

Whether you need external lightning protection, surge protection, earthing or safety equipment, our DEHN Engineering Services can support you with on-site services and measurements, risk assessments, planning, simulations and monitoring.

Make planning lightning and
surge protection easy

You save time

… because DEHN does the planning work.

You reduce costs

... thanks to an exact calculation, you only use the quantity of materials that are actually needed.

You conserve resources

... because your people save themselves the effort of familiarising themselves with the complex subject of lightning and surge protection.

The easy way to a finished lightning protection concept

What's really practical for me is that I can delegate all the planning to someone else. Lightning and surge protection is a pretty complicated subject. Planning like this really takes a lot of time and training. Whether I do it myself or my team does it, that time is used up.

The possibility of getting everything completely from DEHN is ideal for me. I save time and my people can work on other projects.

I was also surprised that so much can be saved by calculating the material more accurately.

Reference projects

For more than 10 years, we have been planning lightning and surge protection systems for various projects and industries. Here are some examples.

Would you like to know more? We look forward to your call.

Greece: Free field PV system

Free field PV systems are cost-intensive systems. Permanent availability must be ensured to achieve a good return on investment. An efficient lightning protection system prevents failure resulting from lightning strikes. Therefore, an isolated external lightning protection system is also often used in this case.

We planned an isolated lightning protection system with air-termination rods and insulated spacers for this free field system in Greece.

Germany: Geyen, pumping station

It is also advisable to install an isolated lightning protection system for the individual parts of facilities and systems with pipelines which are located in the open countryside.

In the pumping station in Geyen (Germany), HVI power Conductors were installed to lead lighting current out of potentially explosive areas. This measure has made the system considerably safer.

Germany: Darmstadt, computer centre

Availability has top priority in computer centres. An isolated external lightning protection system considerably reduces the risk of damage to equipment since no lightning currents enter the installation.

The lightning protection system of the computer centre in Darmstadt (Germany) consists of a meshed system with HVI Conductors.

Germany: Werne, compressor station

A non-sparking lightning protection concept is vital in industrial plants with potentially explosive atmospheres. This is achieved by an isolated external lightning protection system.

We planned such an isolated lightning protection system for Open Grid Europe’s compressor station in Werne (Germany).
